Alert Settings

The following are the steps to setup Alerts for Email Usage Limit and Statistics.


Log into your SendGrid account, click on Settings in the left navigation bar and click on Alert Settings. You will see a summary page. Here you have an option to Create, Edit, or Delete Alerts.



Add New Alert

To add a new alert, click the large “+ New Alert” or the “Add New Alert” button. When the window appears, select the type of alert you would like to receive. Some alerts have options for being sent when a certain threshold is met or when a time period is met.



Alert Types


There are two types of alerts you can set - Email Usage Limit & Email Statistics Notification


Stats Notification Alert - Set Frequency & Email To


For Stats notification alert, you can choose to have the alert sent to you as needed, hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly. The information contained in your alert will be for the last period of the alert. For example, if you choose weekly for the stats alert, you will receive the stats for the last week.


An email containing your stats sent at the frequency you define. For example:


Weekly stats will be sent once week and show the trailing week. Daily Stats will be sent every day, but with trailing 7 day stats included.




You can also change which email address these alerts are sent to.You can set up alerts to be sent to a specific email address on a recurring basis, whether for informational purposes or when specific account actions occur.




Email Usage Limit Alert - Set Percentage & Email To


You should have this alert set up with a threshold of 90% on your account automatically. You will receive an alert when you have used 90% of your current package’s number of emails. You can define any % value and set the Email To field to receive the Email Usage Alerts.
